Programme
30 or more people: micro1’s programme
An operating company with 30 or more people goes to micro1. So does a closed company that had 25 or more. Here is what micro1 publishes, in its own words.
Who this programme is for
The line is headcount alone. Count everyone: office, field crews, drivers and part-timers. Our estimate counts a company at the larger of its people now or at its peak.
The industry doesn’t decide it. A roofer with 40 people and a software studio with 40 people are both here. A company with fewer people has a different buyer, set out on the page for 29 or fewer people.
Operating companies with 30 or more people
micro1’s referral page describes a good fit as “companies with 30+ employees, mature business operations, and high-quality operational data”. Its examples: “SOPs, internal documentation, knowledge bases, CRM metadata, project histories, QA processes, and operational communications.”
Its data partnerships page adds: “Operational data from every industry can contribute.”
Which of your records count, system by system, is on the page for companies with 30 or more staff.
Closed companies with 25 or more people
micro1’s partner programme has a card for companies that have closed, the Defunct Company Data Partnership card. Its terms, as published:
- “25+” employees
- “Open to all industries”
- Ten countries, the US among them
- “$100K-$2M+ company compensation”
- “$75,000 referral reward”

Your company pays us nothing. How we are paid is set out in the referral disclosure.
What a wind-down means for the records, and what to export before the accounts close, is on the page for closed companies.
What micro1 pays
micro1 says: “Compensation is based on the quality, uniqueness, and value of the data provided.” Its data partnerships page lists three tiers:
- “$100k+”: “Qualified Enterprise Data Partnerships”
- “$500k+”: “Large-scale operational datasets or ongoing participation across multiple teams and business functions”
- “$1M+”: “Highly unique, proprietary operational data”
micro1 prices each company. Our estimate is a range, not an offer.
What the company keeps
In micro1’s words: “Companies retain ownership of their underlying data.” On privacy: “Personally identifiable information (PII) is removed when relevant.”
micro1 says that “Before any participation, together we define:”
- “Approved data scope and clear boundaries”
- “Security and confidentiality standards”
- “Anonymization and redaction requirements”
- “Internal approval processes and permissions”
Customer names, payment details, health information and anything a client owns stay out. That is our advice, not micro1’s. More on what stays with you is on How it’s safe.
micro1’s steps
micro1’s data partnerships page sets out four steps: get started, evaluation, discovery and partnership. At discovery: “If there's a potential fit, we'll request additional information and schedule a discovery call to discuss your data and privacy requirements.” Then: “If approved, we'll finalize the agreement and data requirements and begin the partnership.”
How to apply
Five questions, two minutes. The estimate checks your headcount and shows a range. When micro1 fits, it links you to micro1’s own page, and you apply yourself. We never see your files.
