Plumbing companies: get paid for your records
Last updated October 16, 2026
A plumbing company quotes, fixes and writes it down, day after day. Those records pile up. Some of them have a buyer. Here is what counts, what you keep, and how it works.
Which records count
This is our own description of what a plumbing company usually keeps, not a list from any buyer:
- quotes and estimates;
- change orders, and what was found behind the wall;
- service records for every call-out;
- job notes and photos;
- dispatch and scheduling history;
- CRM history: calls, follow-ups and repeat customers’ jobs.
Polyshares decides what it licenses.

- The buyer prices each company.
Polyshares says typical deals run from $100,000 to $2,000,000 and above. Its published deals include a roofer at $450,000, a general contractor at $300,000, a solar company at $275,000 and a marketing agency at $110,000. A past deal does not predict an offer.
